Tuning Inward to Create Your Own Good Luck

What does good luck mean to you? Is it meeting the man (or woman) of your dreams? Is it winning the lottery or getting a fabulous bonus? Is it winning big at the casino?

We usually think of luck in one of two ways... good or bad... bringing us either great good fortune or unwelcome adversity and hardship through circumstances that seem to happen to us "by chance." Yes, luck means something different to each of us and seems to come to us both directly and indirectly...always with the element of "chance".

Begin By Recognizing Your Inner Power

The power to control your thoughts belongs to you and recognizing this inner power and strength is the first step towards bringing you the greatest positive results in your life. Think of the actors in Hollywood and the vastly different roles that they play...how they create and "become" the character according to the nature of the film and script they are given. You can write your own script too...and produce happiness by tapping into your positive thoughts...or unhappiness from your negative thoughts.

Now Try This Simple Exercise:

First make yourself feel lucky...by thinking lucky thoughts. Think of all the good things that happen to you...even just today...it may be something like a chance meeting with an old friend, a new job opportunity that came your way, the fact that you are healthy in the middle of flu season...your child's excellent examination results. Maybe a solution came to you "out of the blue" for some nagging issue or you received an unexpected opportunity or invitation in the mail.

Now strengthen your lucky thoughts... be creative and let your mind go... imagine you are achieving whatever it is you want, winning the lottery or looking slim and beautiful with the man of your dreams. Tune into your thoughts... how do you feel?

Now make yourself feel unlucky... and just think unlucky thoughts. Think about all the bad things that happen to you... you never win at the casino, you got passed up for a promotion at work, you got a speeding ticket on the way to the office, you can't seem to lose weight, no one appreciates you, everything in your life seems to go wrong! Why am I always so unlucky!

Now strengthen your unlucky thoughts... bring up your anger at losing, feel your impatience with family members and others in your life, feel sorry for yourself and ask again why does it always happen to me? How do you feel now?
The purpose of the exercise is to become aware of the power of your thoughts. Every thought you have leads to another thought... every feeling leads to another feeling. You can make yourself feel happy or unhappy... and you can create good or bad luck. Develop sensitivity to your thoughts... tune in and become aware of the good luck in your own life.

Think lucky thoughts to bring you good luck. Think unlucky thoughts to bring misfortune luck. It is really as simple as this. The power to control your thoughts belongs to you.

Think strong and positive thoughts this week!
