Asian Stock Index Extends 3-Week Gain to 21%, Enters Bull Market

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 1 percent to 85.19 as of 12:59 p.m. in Tokyo, set for its highest close since Jan. 14. The index has rallied 21 percent from a five-year low on March 9 on speculation the worst of the financial crisis is over. A gain of that magnitude indicates stocks are entering a bull market.
